Buyer beware. This didn’t work straight out of the box. Garmin will only replace with another refurbished unit. Save yourself time and aggravation and buy something new.

This product was returned because I thought I was ordering a NEW unit, not a re-built unit. The instructions/information available from Amazon. com were misleading/unclear. If a customer wishes to buy a new unit, he should not have to order and return a factory re-built unit! Check your instructions, Amazon.

The product only has one feature which I admire and that is, it will tell you your destination on the “left” or “right”. Aside from that, it is a complete trash! It does not recognise one-way. Many a times, it has misled me into driving on one-way directions which could have cost me my life. The map update is 2010 still, it calls old addresses by their old names, example of one of them is Albertson stores in norther California which reverted to its old name, Lucky stores since 2003!
Another noticeable flaws are the battery life span which is only forty five minutes after several hours of charging! Not forgetting volume even when it is 100% set.
I will not recommend this product to hard working Americans to waste their money on it.

This GPS is too complicated for first time users of a GPS unit. It is fine for a Geek user. Senior citizens looking to try a
GPS for the first time shold avoid the Garvin 765T.

Completeness of features down one because the 3D view of intersections, for the most part, does not exist.
Reliability down one because the touch screen sometimes selects the wrong input if they are close, and when sliding the power button, sometimes the screen is bumped (when mounted in high locations. ) and it causes the unit not to shut down for some reason.
Value is great. It works, bluetooth works great, and the maps are not wrong. It gets you where you need to go, and it is extremely accurate. I would recommend this to a friend, in fact my wife is getting this for Christmas too, but don’t tell her.
If I had to nit-pick, I would have to wish the cord was not proprietary, as the cord contains the antenna for the FM traffic updates. But who cares, this GPS is great, and TRAFFIC is FREEEEE!
